How do I get access, and which level do I need?
Create an account, connect your Google Ads account with a standard Google sign-in, and you are asking questions of your search terms report and change history within minutes. Every level has the same tools, whether you run a local lead-gen account, an ecommerce store, or a large book of accounts across Search, Shopping and Performance Max. The only line that matters for most people: every tool works on the free level, paid levels raise the limits, and nothing changes in your account until you approve it. No developer token, no Google Cloud project, no approvals queue before your first answer.
The value here is time. The setup is minutes rather than the developer-token-and-console path the official Google Ads route asks for, and the same checks run every time you ask, so nothing gets forgotten between accounts.
Step 01 · ~1 minute
Create an account
- 01 Create a free account at app.adtao.io/register — email and password, no card.
- 02 Connect one or more Google Ads accounts.
- 03 Choose a plan. Your plan determines your MCP access level (below).
Step 02 · Free path
Use it from Claude (free)
The fastest way to try AdTAO is to connect it in Claude with your AdTAO sign-in. No API key needed. The free level has every tool: ask about your search terms report, check budget pacing and change history, see CPA, ROAS and wasted spend, and let Claude propose changes for your approval if you allow it on the sign-in page. Nothing changes in your account until you approve it in AdTAO, so there is nothing to undo while you try it.
Step 03 · Paid plans
Create an API key
For Claude Code, Cursor, or any scripted use, create an API key.
- 01 In AdTAO: Settings → Security & Privacy → API Access.
- 02 Name it (e.g. "My Laptop") and Create Key.
- 03 Copy it immediately. It is shown once, then only a hash is stored.
Keys look like adtao_ followed by 48 characters (54 total). Creating a key requires an active (or trial) paid plan. Treat the key like a password; never commit it to source control.

Access levels
Your plan → your level
Your plan maps to one of four MCP access levels. Each level sets what the agent can do and how many requests it can make.
| Level | What the agent can do | Req/min | Req/day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Every tool. Ask questions of your search terms report, change history, and budget pacing; run diagnostics; see CPA, ROAS and wasted spend; have changes proposed for your approval. Connect from Claude with your AdTAO sign-in. | 5 | 50 |
| Professional | The same tools, with higher limits for busier days across more accounts. | 10 | 500 |
| Professional+ | The same tools, with limits for daily work across many accounts. | 50 | 5,000 |
| Enterprise | The same tools, highest limits, built for managing many accounts at once. | 200 | 50,000 |
Every level has the same tools. Diagnostics, benchmarks against accounts like yours, budget pacing, plain-English answers about your search terms report and change history, and changes proposed for your approval all work from Free upward. Levels differ only in how many requests you can make.
Every change waits for you. The agent can only propose a change. Nothing changes in Google Ads until a signed-in person approves it in AdTAO and gives the agent a one-time code. When you connect from Claude, the sign-in page asks whether the agent may propose changes; an API key proposes changes only if it was created with write access.
Limits are counted per person per minute and per day, for each person in an organisation. If you hit a limit the server tells you and stops; it does not silently drop the request or leave a half-finished change in your account.

Limits
What counts against your limits
Each look-up the agent makes is one request. A single question about your search terms report usually takes one look-up, because AdTAO builds the whole answer in one step instead of running several separate queries and stitching them together, so a normal working session stays well inside the limits. Reviewing budget pacing or negative keyword lists across many accounts in one go uses more, and Enterprise is built for that scale.
What to do: start free from Claude and ask about one account's search terms report and change history. When you want more requests per day, or want to work from Claude Code, Cursor or a script with an API key, move up a level. See /pricing for the level that fits.
